OK...
As of Saturday night, the doctors decided that Heather needed to have her labor induced.
Today, Heather's labor isn't going very fast. Her water was broken mid-morning, TX time. Pray that she will go into stronger labor so she will be able to deliver naturally sooner than later.
This message came from Caleb's Dad today:
What To Expect With Hannah (Baby's name)
The neo-natal nurse came in and talked with Caleb and Heather so they would have an idea as to what to expect. Said the baby would be in the hospital for at least a month, probably longer. They would insert a feeding tube, place her in an incubator, and put a cathater in her heart immediately after birth. She would have to be able to eat, maintain body temperature and weigh at least five pounds. They said Hannah was underweight even now for her age. This was normal for a mother who has been battling high blood pressure. They expect her to weigh less than three pounds at birth; probably around two pounds.
I fully expect that the baby will be born this evening, or by morning...because I don't think the doctors will allow Heather to go much beyond 12 hours after they broke her water.
Your prayers are coveted, and appreciated.
